22 Soldiers lost their lives in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur Naxal attack. Apart from it, around 31 people reported being badly injured in the encounter that took place in Bijapur. This is not the first Naxal attack in India. Naxalites are attacking our soldiers and the government is trying to maintain peace. Every year, many Naxal attacks are happening and soldiers are losing their lives.

Bijapur Superintendent of Police, Kamalochan Kashyap said, “This has also happened a few days back in March. On March 4, three Jharkhand jaguar soldiers lost their lives in the same Naxalite attack. Naxalites planted IEDs and blew up the soldiers in West Singhbhum district.”
There are many Naxal attacks that shook India over the last few years.
In March 2020, DRG and STF soldiers lost their lives during an encounter in Sukma district in Chhattisgarh. Also in the same year, in the Gaya district of Bihar, Naxalites blew up the school. No one was killed in that attack.
Also back in November 2019, these Naxalites attacked a PCR consist of four personnel. The PCR van was going towards Chandwa police station area of Latehar district of Jharkhand. In March 2018, 212 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) eight personnel were killed in an IED by Naxals in the Kistaram area of Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district.
In 2017, 26 CRPF personnel were killed, and a few were injured during this encounter, which took place at the Burkapal-Chintagufa area in the middle of the Maoists.
This attack in Chhattisgarh is one of the biggest attacks in recent years. After this attack, the Home Minister, Amit Shah also said in a press conference that the blood of these martyrs will not go in vain and they will definitely look into this Sukma Naxal attack.
